Put some weight on your heels

When I find I am not hitting the ball well I try this....

address the ball in the middle of your stance

bend your knees

put a little weight on your heels

keep your eye on the ball and make your swing

by concentrating on keeping your weight back on your heels

you make good contact and follow through

the idea is to strike the ball and make good contact

and not try for super distance
